Because it's irrelevant to you, as you'll be spending some of Valentines Day weekend with moi.
I understand, however, if you happen to feel lonely on Valentines Day itself, it's ok to treat yourself to something nice, maybe get some ice cream or go out to dinner or a bar and meet people, and if you find them hot, shack up for the night. At least that's what I've been told.
